I did the preorder on purple at amazon.ca for $25ish. They listed the vinyl under a difference article number- as listed here: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/offer-listing/B ... dition=new

I bitched about it... as mine was on back order (diff article #- same product)- they apologized and now are sending me a copy and honoring the $25 price.

cant wait to listen to this gem. There are copies still left here along with Core.... check it out.

Thanks for the links. I am hesitant to use amazon for vinyl purchases, for the reasons you list above.
  • Cheers for the heads up on this one, MOV did a fantastic job on Core and Purple, can't wait for this one.

Core is being re-released on Rhino records tomorrow for RSD, 3000 copies on yellow wax. I'm going to my local store, they told me it will be there for $22 (Canadian) which is much cheaper than MOV was. Maybe you can try to score one of these as well ;)
The last PJ show I went to was the best PJ show ever, that is until they come around again of course

It's cheaper because it is released on one record, the MOV release was spread over 3 sides of 2 records, with etched vinyl on the 4th side.

    http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/Ryan-Adams-%2d-Love-Is-Hell-3XLP.html
Originally released on two EPs, Love Is Hell is a staggeringly personal report on romantic desolation, personal frustration, and incurable loneliness whose themes play out via heartbreakingly intimate vocals, stark acoustic guitars, unembellished electric guitars, chamber-pop strings, and spare pianos. The excising of pain has rarely sounded more bittersweet—or spiritual. Due to Ryan Adams' barren and tormented state, his record label initially refused to release the album out of concern it was too dark.

Vinyl Color: N/A (Limited and numbered)

Yes. This is also a Mobile Fidelity cut of this album. Which sometimes can be regarded as the best/definitive press of an album.

Love is Hell also includes this:

That's odd that he chose to put that on a studio album.

Sad thing is anything off heartbreaker is better, and the cover is probably his most popular or well known song.

MoFi is THE label to buy wax from. This box is outstanding and worth every cent. All of his albums are top notch and I finally grabbed a copy of Rock n Roll...which might be my favorite.
