Ed's Guitar Tech

This was discussed in the LA 2 thread, but after Ed dropped the guitar in front of his tech, that tech did not come out again. This is the bald guy with the big beard and the tats. I was watching for whether he would come out in Oakland, and he did not.

I don't know a lot about who this tech is/was, but I had seen him in past tours and at the first four shows I went to this tour. I was just curious whether anyone had an opinion on what happened and whether this is permanent because my understanding was this guy was or is Ed's long time guitar tech and it looks like maybe he is no longer with the band?

Thanks. I searched but that thread did not come up. Sorry for starting a new topic. Very interesting.

To add my opinion, I saw it too. I was on the railing Stone side. A few songs in Ed was distracted by a fan that had to be pulled out of the crowd because he was out. Not sure what happened with him, but I heard it was because of supplement reasons (wink, wink). But he seemed like he got back into the swing of things shortly after.

After that I tried to read his mouth, talking to the band, tech, etc.... Every time he seemed pissed and really kind of ruined the show for me, but on the same side I had fun! After the first set he walked off and you could see him say "we are done." Everyone walked off with a different speed, more SHIT more than, WE WILL BE BACK!

Also, I saw that incident where he seemed upset AGAIN, and handed the guitar to Rick and dropped it. I really thought it was a dick move, but then thought it was a joke as I would do something like that to my friends. Guess it wasn't a joke. I did see a younger guy handing him things after that, makes sense now.

I saw 3 shows and LA 2 was still awesome, but the least favorite of them as I felt the crowd wasn't as on as before (Sunday in LA might factor that vs NYC any night), the band/Ed seemed pissed, and after the things I saw it wasn't entertaining.

Still will see more shows, but wish I saw Oakland instead of LA night 2.

Back in Minnesota to freeze my ass off. Thanks everyone!!! Great thread discussion.
