***CALGARY! LOVE BOAT CAPTAIN + SOLDIER OF LOVE!***

It's been a very tough year with the flood we experienced over the summer which devastated the city. My in-laws and many friends lost their home due to the flood. Riot Act is my favourite PJ album and Love Boat Captain is always a highlight - I don't think it's been played this tour yet. This will be my 12th show (last one was Wrigley) and I've never heard it live. I saw Ed play it solo in Minneapolis a couple years ago but would love to hear the band play it. Given the immense destruction to our city, homes, businesses and overall vitality caused by the river's flood in June (not to mention recent tragedy in the Philippines), it would fitting and inspiring if something or someone would "take the reigns and steer us towards the clear".

Also, my wife and I got married this past May. We both love the band's cover of Soldier of Love - we put it on our wedding mix CD for guests, have never heard it live...lets make this Calgary show a special one.
