Merchandise tables open after the show?

I've got General Admission floor tickets for the Calgary show. I want to buy a poster but don't want it to get harmed or hold it for the entire show, frankly. Are the merchandise tables open after the show? Or if I go buy a poster before the show, will they hold on to it until the end and I can come pick it up after?

What have others been doing throughout the tour?

Thanks!

  • The tables have been open after the show. Not sure on whether or not the posters are still in stock at that point. I don't believe they will hold them for you. Best bet is to buy one from the merch truck outside the arena and then run it back to your car (if that's an option).

Perfect, thanks! Good call on buying the poster outside the arena. Hopefully they have the truck outside in Calgary - might be pretty cold that night!

Total crapshoot on posters being available after the show. Always possible. At Worcester 1, I believe they were gone. At Worcester 2, there were still some left. At LA 1 & 2, I don't recall seeing any on the wall when I was walking out. But @spacekj is right – at LA 1 & 2, there was a merch trailer OUTSIDE the venue that was open LONG before doors for the show. If you've got cool peeps in the GA line with you (which I would imagine would be the case), and if you've got a vehicle parked near the venue, you could always get people to hold your spot so you can hit the merch trailer, get your purchases out of the way, and then not stress about it during the show. I had regular seats for LA 1 & 2, but still did that just so I didn't have to have to carry the tube around.

(And for the love of Tremorchrist ... please spend the $2 on a poster tube.)

I got a Worcester night 1 poster when I showed up for the night 2 show. So either you got unlucky or they somehow got extras overnight.
  • Be aware that not all venues will have a merch truck/site setup outside the venue, for example, Hartford did not...you could only buy merch inside and after you had gone through the ticket scan/security line. In Hartford, they sold out of poster tubes inside rather quickly, so it was definitely a plus that I had brought one with me, though I did have to manage it throughout the show.

So there's no re-entry then? If I go when the doors open and buy some merch early, I can't go back out to my car to drop it off?
