Bringing Dave A. back will shake shit up musically. I loved Lightning Bolt but next album has to get grittier. Come back Dave.

    I'm good on that.
  • Um...no.
Is it so wrong to think that love can keep us safe?

IMO, Matt is, and will always be the best PJ drummer.

This is true. However, many would argue they were even luckier to have Dave.

Don't mess with a team that works like Pearl Jam.

Matt belongs because he has the stamina, the musical skills, and the relationship with the other members to keep the machine humming!!

I love Dave as much as the next guy (had him #1 in that PJ drummer list)....but, with that said, if he was that good, wouldn't he be in a name band now?

One album is all I'm asking. Hell, Matt can even keep touring if he'd like

I think Matt isn't just the best drummer PJ has ever had, I think he's the best rock drummer right now.

And I also would take Jack Irons over Dave too..,
I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

I am hanging in the balance of a perfect finished plan

I saw Pearl Jam in 1993 and I just saw then in Phoenix, and they are so much better and kicking major ass, plus Eddie can't stand Dave, so just a horrible idea on many levels, musically they have evolved so far past Dave's crashing symbols, this will never fucking happen and frankly I would have zero interest in seeing it

Amen. I'm tired of these Dave A. threads.

I recognize that talent doesn't need to be famous in order to be recognized but this dude drummed for the biggest band on the planet at the time that they were the biggest band on the planet and he cannot get a gig since he got fired? C'mon people, that is a Dave A. problem not a Pearl Jam problem.

He's gone, the band is and has always been far better for it. Get over it.
