Fendder Classic Player Strats

Has anyone tried one of these? I am mainly an acoustic player but got the electric bug last year and got a LP and now I want to add to my collection. I was looking at the Fender Strat Classic Player 60's. The LP I have is great, but the 57 Gibson PUPs cannot create that Mike McCready sound on some songs I like to play.

Just curious if these are worth the price. For $800, I wonder if buying a Am Standard would be better. Unfortunately, I cannot find a local store that seems to have one in stock. Thought about just ordering one and then return it if need be.

Thanks!
