Friend just sent a photo of crumpled up set list that was thrown in the crowd.
It had Last Kiss after Crazy Mary and before Alive. Did we miss that?
Also, Dirty Frank was on the list but crossed out.

Oceans, Corduroy, Animal, Do the Evolution, WWS, Severed Hand, GTF, Ed talking... thanks the crowd... introduces Boom, LBC (long "love" chant back and forth), Wishlist, Evenflow, You Are, Unemployable, Jeremy, Life Wasted Reprise, Elderly Woman, cover I couldnt make out, Betterman (no tag), Porch
*****
Inside Job, Ed dedicates Man of the Hour to someone (couldnt make it out) who passed away and their family, Last Kiss, Crazy Mary, Black (we belong together!), Alive
(apparently Ed says there are 430 fanclub members there, thanks them on his knees then they play Alive)
*****
Unknown Uke Song Ed has never played before (live), Happy Birthday Matt (Ed throws the big cake into the crowd "Would you like a fork?"), Smile, Why Go, Big Wave, Life Wasted, Rocking in the Free World, Yellow Ledbetter (Ed climbs into the crowd)
Thanks to the cell phone relayer whoever you are And thanks to Bee Girl over at RM for making this possible....
a few corrections:
Ed said there are 430 military members and their families at the show and got on his knees and praised them, he also stated very clearly how important their were, and that any talk that they may have done about the situation of the past few years was about decisions and policy and they always have and will support the troops. Being an vet myself, it was very heart warming, though I've heard many things Ed has said, and never once took anything negative from it in regards to the troops, but it was nice that he said what he did.
as for the Ukeulele song that he said he never played before, he has, Ed was trashed, I had the honor of being backstage before and after the show and Ed went through some wine tonight, the song was "You're True", Ed played it twice in 2002 at benifit shows in LA.
Great, great night...

So how were everyone's tickets? I couldn't go to the show and had to give my 10C tickets to another member to use. Where would I have been with a 160xxx fanclub number? I don't know why I want to know. Finding out is probably just going to rub salt in an already gaping wound.

My friend who was relaying was in the 7th row... but she was sitting with someone she met at the pre-party who had an extra 10c ticket, so I don't know what that person's 10c number was. Good seats though!
She is number 400xxx and still had pretty decent seats. Sec N, which is one section back, Row 6.
And to top it all off she was walking down Waikiki beach this afternoon and ran right into Ed playing with his daughter in the shallow surf!!
Didn't bother him, didn't feel the moment was right. But she said when she first walked by she thought "that guy is working the Eddie Vedder look.." then "Good lord, that is Eddie Vedder." He looked up and smiled at her, she was wearing the Pearl Jam "Tiger" t-shirt, and that was about it. She was in awe, watched him play with his daughter for a bit, then had to run and catch her plane. She was stoked!!!
Can't wait, I'm heading over for PJ/U2!!!

hey beachdweller .... tell us more about your backstage experience
more details people!!!!!
what was the izzy song that was sung?
said hi to Mike before they went on, during KOL, while he was warming up, he signed my ticket, didn't stay, he had a few friends around and I felt like staying would be intruding, talked to Kelly Slater for a moment, took a picture with, asked if he thought the Wednesday swell that was coming would bring the waves they needed for the Eddie A. big wave contest, said hi to Ed after the show, he was really trashed, the opportunity to talk to all members was there, but a lot of friends and family around, so I didn't feel real comfortable cutting in and saying hi. Spent most of the time talking with my new friends Toby and Michelle, and their friend Brian, who I partied with in 2003 Ben Harper Berkeley Greek Theater show, small world, lol. We all had a good time back there before and after the show, drooling over all these people we admired.
Sorry, no steamy details to share, but I have no regrets.
Got a tatoo this morning before getting on a plane, turned out great, has a lot of meaning since I lived on Oahu for three years ('88-'90), plus this weekend was a blast, picture at: http://www.myspace.com/beachdwellers_tiki_bar
finally got my PJ tat after 12yrs of almost

THAT is a great tatoo!
Thanks for the reply on the backstage. Sounds like a totally great time.
I know what you mean about not wanting to bother them. I was backstage at a Jack Johnson show, the one where Boom was playing. After emberassing myself when I saw Boom I layed low after that. Didn't want to bother anyone.
Beachdweller ..... aren't you the one that had the great reviews from the Maui show back in 98 I think it was?
thanks again
glad you had fun

I love Rob Machado!
