This is an amazing story. I do love being a part of this forum -- with all of the negative stuff one sees on the news nowadays, the kindness and generosity that I see being performed by the band and by people on this site gives me hope for humanity! It is amazing how a little decency can go a long way!

This story is awesome. It's another lifetime memory that PJ have created for you Rob, your family, friends, and the people hit by the typhoon as well as all the PJ fans. It shows PJ generosity, love and compassion for others, as they always do.
So glad to hear your amazing story and awesome night Rob. Congratulations and enjoy your next show.
I wish you and your family all the best and hope that the situation in the Phillipines is rectified as soon as possible, I know there is lots of help over there and I know lots of us have made donations because we can't be there to help.
(“Before we do the next song can I ask if our new friend Rob is in the house? C’mon up here. Someone turned me on to this really nice story about Rob who has been listening to us for about 21 years. We played (Manilla) in ’95 and you missed that. We have great memories of playing there. We are gonna see you in LA but we are going to give you a check to take back so you can help out. We thought we could save the postage and give you 100% of the money...Now I hear you had a child and you named him?
Rob says, “Eddie, we named him Eddie.” Ed says, “Well Cameron is a much better name but anyway.” Ed gives Rob a bottle of wine.)

I'm here at work crying my eyes out (good thing no one's at work today!). Felt so much love throughout the article. You both sound like lovely people, so happy you had this experience and so proud to be a Pearl Jam fan!

Just read this as well. Wonderful story. Thank you. Listening to Ed's speech with Rob on stage and then going into Sirens was like someone was cutting onions. Amazing.
