I'd be patient on this one if I were you. Don't drop big money on a used copy. It should be repressed again eventually.

You found it. Congrats!! I remember talking to you about their 1st album on another thread of yours. This album wouldnt be a non PJ holy grail for me but still would love to have The Tea Party's 1st album.

As far as a holy grail non PJ right now I would have to say an original pressing of David Bowie's Earthling. I know that MOV just re-released it. But still looking for an original press...If anyone has one I will trade my extra copy of No Code for it. 8-)

I've been looking forever for The Tragically Hip's "Trouble at the Henhouse" on vinyl. Over on the Hip forum, people refer to it as the "great white buffalo" for how rare the damn thing is. One popped up on Ebay not too long ago and they wanted $300 for it. Crazy.

That is awesome. I'm assuming that's their very first album (pre-Splendor Solis)? Don't think I've ever seen that anywhere.

  • I know they are not incredibly rare but just too expensive for me, so my two are Neil Young's Tonight's the Night and Tom Petty Wildflowers

  • I'd love to own a good, playable vinyl copy of Kruder & Dorfmeister's K & D Sessions. Most of the affordable versions are in bad condition...

I never knew it was hard to find til a year or so ago there was some discussion about it on here. When I was first getting into vinyl, I was in serious Smarchee mode, and I'd exhausted most of my must haves and had never added any Petty, but picked this one on sort of a whim. Paid normal new vinyl price for it, and it's gotta be one of my best vinyl finds.

Chris Cornell Euphoria Morning on vinyl.

I don't think it currently exists but since Chris is already pressing ridiculously expensive vinyl to use during his solo shows, he might as well get a bunch of these pressed :)

Yeah....I have the Stout set and that's about my limit. This will most likely never happen.

It was repressed. About 3-4 years ago. But its OOP now. But there are way more copies floating around now.

Mine was The White Stripes - get Behind Me Satan. I track it down about 3 years ago. Right before it took a huge price spike on ebay too.

That, Benaroya and Burial's Massive Attack remix EP are the 3 recordsI grab in a fire.

Albert Ayler: "Lörrach, Paris 1966", on vinyl.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.
