A FINAL "THANK YOU" for the 2008 TOUR!!!!

edited July 2008 in Given To Fly (live)
I just wanted to say a great big thank you to Pearl Jam, everyone who works for the band, Tenclub, and the Jamily (esp during Better Man MA I, that was just sick!) for a great week of memories for my summer of 2008. Thank you for touring! Thank you for MSGI, Hartford, Mansfield I & II! You will be missed until next time! Take a nice break and we are looking forward to that new album I have heard rumors about.

For those of you who like to complain:
Please think about what you would have been doing if you were NOT singing your heart out to Better Man for the 4th show in a row on a warm summer evening. Think about having all the premium seating taken up by scalpers and being forced to pay $100 a seat just to sit out on the lawn. This band has gone above and beyond for its fans, please do not disrespect it by bitching about every little thing.

The lottery:
Please keep the lottery.. Even though I did not make the front..the anticipation walking to the 10C window is like being a kid at christmas again. And seeing the faces of others winning front row for the first time was just awesome!

To those I met and hung out with at Mansfield II:
Thanks for a great time, I was not looking forward to driving up by myself but you all made it worth it. Barbera, I could not have shared my tickets with a better 10C member! I hope have a safe trip back to the west coast! The guys (and lady) from Maine... I hope to see you again! My neighbor from Mansfield I... you have to let me know about that hotel info next time!! The guys behind me.. skip the wedding next time!

THANKS AGAIN and please excuse the sappiness... I am still exhausted and I will be pissed of when I realize I have nothing to do for the rest of the summer!

I'll join this ride too. Thank you, thank you, thank you. To the band, the people I met and who shared their tickets with me, and to my hubby for paying for it all even though he's frying in the heat and the humidity of the Persian Gulf and couldn't partake.

...from last minute tickets to the EV solo tour shows, to a deserved trip to the East Coast to catch up in DC, its been a fantastic PJ year for me. Here's to seeing you soon on the left coast. ;-)

Thanks to PJ, the 10c, and all of the fans that always make for a fantastic trip, no matter what.

Like I said in another thread, even the worst days of Pearl Jam will always be some of my best!

Thank you to everyone. A much needed show this summer with a lot going on at home - allowed me to escape, even for just a night. Can't wait until they hit the road again (this fall for the election? I can only dream!). I'll be waiting! Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

I think this was the best tour for them ever. It seems like most of the shows fans were just blown away. I think maybe they should continue doing short tours like this, this way they can put out more intensity into each show.

Happy to sign on this thread. Going to 5 shows gave me such a lift. It was racing around, and I was back home in between shows, but it just took a lot of the worry and stress off my back. So glad to hear the music, and to be with like-minded people - I don't care if they were drunk, peeing, screaming in my ear, or whatever, they were there to see Pearl Jam too and for that I was glad to be around so many brethren who get excited about the same thing I do.

Thanks to the crew and the band from being away from their families to share the music.

I'm on board with you too!

Thanks to the band especially for putting so much into every show, and to the 10 club for doing the best they can for the fans! We bitch and moan about all sorts of things, from where we sit, to the availability of posters, to the quality of the boots, but at the end of the day, I think that 10c deserves credit for both taking care of us as best as they can and for putting up with all the crap we give them. Here's to more shows soon hopefully and more new friends along the way!
