I want to say how awesome I thought Kings of Leon were at the three shows I attended. Those guys were amazing.

I noticed that they pretty much played the same sets at each of the shows I went to (melb 1, adel 1 & 2). There were three songs played at each of the shows that I didn't recognise from either of their first two albums, which I absolutely loved. Can anyone help me out with their setlist?

Thank you Pearl Jam for bringing such an amazing band with you on this Aus tour.

  • Can't help you cause I don't know them really, but what songs do you remember them playing? I wanna listen to a few before seeing them open in Hawaii:)

Yes, what are a couple of songs I can listen to that represent what the band is like? Only 8 more days till I touch down in Hawaii. :D

That's for sure... they've got new fans right here! It's great that a little bit of exposure for a band - can revert in hundreds of new fans!
When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do...

kings of leon i believe are tied with pearl jam for my favorite band of all time. one of their new songs is called on call. they played that one every night. it's off the new album....there were a couple other new ones but i don't know the titles for those ones. they sound damn good though. they actually finished their new album in february but the dumb record companies are making them wait till next year to release it. i'm annoyed. anyways....they most definitely did kick arse at the sydney shows. my two favorite bands...when they announced they were gonna be opening for pearl jam i nearly had a nervous breakdown because i was so scared iw asn't gonna get tickets. hahahaha. the crowds at the concerts seemed to like them too which i was heaps stoked about.

I agree,KOL were fantastic. And what was said about exposure is true, I had probably only heard only one or two of their songs before the tour and didnt really care if they were crap coz I was only interested in seeing pj anyway. So imagine how amped I got when they started playing and I realised how good they actually were! My husband had heard a bit of their stuff on the radio and said they werent too bad, so we werent expecting much. I dont know if anyone else agrees with this, but I actually think KOL sound better live. Caleb has such an interesting and unusual voice, and the bass and drums sound alot more powerful at the concert. Then again, that might have something to do with my crappy stereo! By the way, Trani is one of my favourite songs by them and was dissapointed that they didnt play it at the Brisbane or Perth show. Oh well, they sold a couple more albums by having me at those shows.

I'll also likely pick up at least one of their albums. I thought they were a perfect fit as the opener for Pearl Jam. Great band!

  • I saw them at all three Melbourne shows and thought they were really good. Some of their songs were fantastic. I loved Spiral Staircase, Molly's Chambers, Milk, The Bucket and 4 Kicks.
Ben, the two of us need look no more
