With MC taking a year off SG, who will be his replacement?
Who do you think should take the job and who do you think will take it?

Though i would rather have josh in pj and matt in sg. Josh and stone have history and i read somewhere that josh was tried out at some point in pj drummer vacancy history
Brad Wilk is nowhere near the drummer Matt is - his style works in RATM, but he was pretty uninspiring in Audioslave.
I have to disagree about Audioslave, but for whatever reason that band just clicked with me and I enjoyed pretty much everything they released.

He tried out in 1994.

I thought they all fell out with Cornell?

Either one would be proficient enough to fill the role. (Although I agree with the poster who said there's no replacing him..... I would be pissed if I had a ticket to one of these upcoming SG shows)
Freese isn't still playing for Weezer is he? That feels like a tremendous waste of talent IMHO. (No offense meant to any Weezer fans out there.)
He's phenomenal, I saw A Perfect Circle perform twice in support of each of their first two albums, and he blew me away all 4 times, easily the best part of their live shows...... I was very disappointed when he toured with Weezer over APC in 2011. His replacement was great, but he was no Josh Freese.
SG should call ol' 'Herb' Alexander then, he could handle it.
$hit, just call Danny Carey, it's not like Tool is doing anything. (I know, I know they are supposedly working on the new album, but it's been 6-1/2 years already)
This. The dude's a clubber. I don't think he's been great with Sabbath either.
Someone is going to have to.

Hey, I loved Audioslave, and whilst he's proficient, and he's got all kinds of groove with Rage, he's not that good when it comes to more classic rock stylings. I think a seat with Soundgarden would show him up.
I would love to hear what Jimmy Chamberlin could do with them, could be a pretty good fit.
Mike Bordin would be though.

:lolno: (But wouldn't that be wicked.)
Jeremy Taggart? Don't know what OLP is up to next year, but Matt & Jeremy have helped each other out before.
That could be a good fit, he's a great drummer.

Haha, I'd pushed that to the back of my mind! Didn't Jeremy just fill in for the video shoot?

Then Matt did it of his own volition, that's even worse!
At least he's not like Jerry Cantrell, who actively promotes Nickelback!

Unless I'm missing something, that's not what it says. Matt drummed on the OLP record as a favour. He then separately played on the Spiderman song (for inexplicable reasons!), but was unavailable to shoot the video, so Jeremy repaid the favour he owed Matt (for him playing on the OLP record) by sitting in on the video shoot.
Jeremy is innocent! And yeah, Jerry Cantrell needs help!
