I don't think people had a problem with you offering to sell it, it was the asking price. $500 is insane for this album. I understand you can ask whatever you want, but usually within reason. $200-$250 is a fair price according to the current market IMO. But I understand you're just after the two vinyls you mentioned.

i never thought i would get anywhere near that.. the one on ebay going for $500 has been there for a while.. but im trying to get the most out of it in order to pick up some other records that are important to me. instead of being appalled and offended, people could have just made an offer.

the reality is, im guessing there are only 1 or 2 people who commented that are actually looking for this record. the the rest of you are the black market police. go outside, i think its nice out.

No, it really is not nice out, it's raining, and I too am looking for a No Code, but as mentioned earlier, not at $500 and now that you are only searching for what you have listed to trade, I am not interested in trading that for No Code, or Avocado.

I understand, I was being sarcastic, but would never have clicked on this post if I was not interested. Then I was really curious to see if someone was going to bury you for the apparent auction you had going there. It is comical to me how the police come out when someone thinks someone else is asking too much, not enough, etc...

It is a slow day here at the office for a Friday and I hate deciding not to do the Dallas/OKC part of this tour...

i never started an auction.. if you thought that, then there was some miscommunication. i told people who were interested to make an offer. this is stupid, if you dont want it, dont buy it. jesus christ.

also, my trade request is not unreasonable at all..

avocado, mint, and sealed, goes for $300 easy.
no code and superunknown can be had under $150 each..

    nothing unreasonable about that.

i know this fan base is outrageous sometimes. it okay to ask for something here but dont dare to ask for that over there. some of these people that patrol the boards and try to act holier then thou are ridiculous.

that being said, good luck on your trade dude

I bought a sealed Avocado on eBay for $300 last month.
I bought a sealed No Code plus a sealed original Vitalogy (way better than the reissue BTW) as a package deal for $300 last year. Just some related info. I have no point. Kind of just wanted to insert myself into this riveting conversation. :P :corn:
How much are original Superunknowns going for now anyway?? They just reissued it on picture disc... that probably lowered the value somewhat, although I don't know how good or shitty the reissue sounds (anyone know BTW? I want it, but not if it sounds bad).

going up on ebay in the morning. Im going for $300, which should not be hard to get considering the condition. that will get me no code and superunknown.. i don't need a sealed no code, just a $140 selection that plays nice.

superunknown goes anywhere from $75 to $150

Holy crap a sealed one is worth that??!! Just cause one crazy ebayer paid $500 for it doesn't mean there is a second one out there crazy enough to do the same. :)
Damn I have this sealed but if they're going for $500 I might have to part with it... that's nuts.
I should have left the one I bought a couple months ago sealed! I could have made $300! I wonder if I can use my vinyl collection as an asset when we refinance?

I understand you want to make money on this, but wouldn't you rather give it to a fellow 10clubber who really wants it than some schmuck on eBay?

To be fair, those "schmucks" on eBay are very often 10C members themselves. I always seem to hear about this member or that member who was the person who managed to get the album that was on sale on eBay. I have personally bought at least half of my PJ vinyl through eBay, along with several other hard to find records.
What i don't get is why the OP doesn't just post this album for $300 here in Lost Dogs, if he's going to post it for that much on eBay. There just seems to be an unnecessary step in there.

I bought a sealed avocado lp on lost dogs about a year ago for $150, now to see people selling albums for way over market value when we should be trying to get our unwanted or unused merch to fellow ten clubbers for a good price! This place has slowly turned into eBay
Cant buy what i want cause its free....

I completely agree that that is the way to do it ; get stuff at good prices to one another. However, i don't think that giving someone a hard time for trying to sell for as much as he can sell it for is too cool. Obviously, he isn't into the whole philosophy ofn10c members helping each other out (unfortunately), and that is his perogative. Though he probably should have just gone to eBay in the first place if he was going to try and get the highest price possible, since Lost Dogs is supposed to be more aboit "sharing the wealth".

But $150 for a sealed Avocado is outrageously cheap. No one should hold put for that. You just got lucky (which is great! i love it when that happens!).

First off I wanna say my post wasn't directed at the op at all.....you can post whatever price u want....if its high it won't sell and that's the bottom line.....I've gotten great deals of my lp collection off here, I haven't bought one lp from eBay, nor will I ever.....just takes patience and some great forum members have gone out of they're way to give me great deals, but u just gotta be patient!!

You are absolutely right! .... Unfortunately for me, patience was not my strong suit when it came to getting all the PJ vinyl. I blitzed it and got them all in less than two years.
