I ordered the Lightning Bolt Lp thru 10C. Was surprised and happy when I opened it ( the celephane is still on ) and saw that the vinyl is red in color. Is this as desired as Sevens?....... I really would like sevens..........trade?

  • Not worth it.

I'd trade you an Emek Wrigley poster for it?

i would say by the amount of people who didnt get a red LB, and the amount of people who scored a "Sevens".
I would definatly say that the RED LB LP is FAR more rare than the sevens box set!

    simple math? yes, no?

I would agree, but complaining about 7's availability > complaining about red LB availabiliity.

More people are interested in something that they had a better chance of buying.

And if you add the fact that even the red copies had issues, how much is a pristine red copy worth?

I would say right now, red LB.

If they end up selling red LBs in the store then that could change.

But a die hard collector might pay a steep price for a red LB, especially if no one knows how many went out.

My gut feeling is that since Sevens was on Amazon too, we haven't seen the last of it. Maybe RSD in the Spring.

  • I would love a red LB.

I didn't think they were that big of a deal. People usually go nuts when something is rare.

Still have an Emek for one if interested.

They are equal in value. Both have all the songs on the album.

I like colored vinyl, personally. ;)

  • I'll trade my sevens for a red vinyl as long as the red vinyl is in mint condition and has no flaws.
  • If I'd bought a Sevens I'd take this trade. Wish I had.

I wouldn't. I don't see that the red vinyl will be that much rarer in the longroad. I could be wrong.

Not seeing peoples orders get fulfilled via amazon for Sevens either. Again I could be wrong.

Pop up store should be revealing and interesting.

I will admit I am double lucky, I did get a red LB and I was able to score a sevens after f5-ing for more than 20 minutes.

I would definitely say the red LB is more rare. And more valuable.

Well hearing that you guys are thinking the red LB is more valuable than Sevens makes me feel better I didn't pick up a Sevens when I had the chance.

Of course now I'm feeling guilty not going for the LB either, .
I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

The Red LB's are popping up everywhere now. Every time I check another thread people are getting them as replacement vinyls.

Sevens will be the better bet.

I still want a Red LB though too...
  • Is there any difference between the red and black LB in terms of packaging or is it just the color?
