Depends on which possible stadiums get shows, I'd go to Busch Stadium and Wrigley Field. Play more shows at Alpine Valley, not too far from where I live, make it happen.

No chance... They've already played in the places that draw enough for a stadium crowd.
Exactly why they come back to major cities like NYC, Boston and Philly and hit the stadiums. By the summer, "Sirens" is their biggest hit ever and they follow Springsteen's lead and graduate to stadiums.
Sure , they have done Wrigley but never a full Stadium tour. It could happen. The ARE big enough to do it.
No they're not. They could do the very biggest cities and that's it. Even if Sirens is the biggest hit of their career they would likely already be planning a stadium tour for next summer. Pretty big risk to plan a stadium tour, counting on the success of single that's pretty divisive amongst the fans that have stood by them through the years.
I have no problem with them being bigger, but most evidence I've seen hasn't really shown that and points to the fact that a lot of people around here vastly overrate their popularity. Most bands sell out arenas for years before making the jump to stadiums and PJ hasn't done that on a consistent basis in the 15 years that I've followed them.
I think you overestimate the bands popularity. One of the reasons shows get close to selling out is because of how few shows the band actually does. The tours are small and it forces people to travel.
They could probably do a few stadium shows in the NorthEast where its super densely populated.. but I don't think the demand would be there to do more than a couple.
I don't think they're big enough to do a full on stadium tour. They're not U2 big.
I don't think it is that likely. They're a great band but I agree with those who say the OP is overestimating PJ ability to sell out a bunch of stadiums. 1 or 2 yes, esp. in the Northeast as Zod said, but not a whole tour of stadiums. I'm not crazy about stadiums myself - too big, you're too far away, just too big. Stadiums are made for sports, not music.

I would rather they stick to amphitheaters if they play a summer tour.. If they do play stadiums I hope they stick to the old achool fields.. Like wrigley field,Fenway park, doger stadium, angel stadium, o.c park in Oakland! I wouldn't like seein them in a giant place like Yankee stadium or safeco field or any of the football stadiums!
give me the basketball arenas any day of the week. I really don't think they're popular enough for a proper stadium tour. I would say they could sell out stadiums in boston (fenway one night), nyc (citi field or yankee one night), and maybe just maybe philly. but that's a bout it.
stick to arenas! play places like miami, nashville, omaha, boise, casper, kitchener, halifax, you have many fans there! oh and of course the north east!

My crystal balls say....If they follow the Backspacer blueprint, it's here Now, Australia in January, US Sheds and basketball arenas in the spring,(unless you're right up front, the small basketball places are the way to go, just my opinion...) Soundgarden in June and then off to Europe to festival with the lot of ya. These are two weeks at a time intervals.
imho, the only way they could fill a large stadium would be a destination concert, similar to Wrigley Field this year. They may be able to do some minor leage ballparks.
