I also expect the "song pool" to have some new inclusions, and possibly deletions.
Seems like they are working tighter this tour. Eddie not relying on his lyric book much at all, and the band being insanely close knit now. Probably see stuff continue to crop up in sets that hasn't made it there so far, and possibly stuff that has been played hard get snuffed a bit. mb they come up with a new cover or new guest appearance or ?
other than that,
i expect Leg 2 to be overall as good, if not better than leg 1.
[i just wish i could goooo.... :( :( :( ]
If I opened it now would you not understand?

Hoping for an as long show as some of leg 1 even with the openers.

Well, in that case....
My expectation is that no matter how good a show was on Leg 1, people who go to Leg 2 and didn't go to any of Leg 1 will say how much better the shows they saw were and they will say the shows they didn't even go to are "over rated".
That'd be nice.
I really hope they resolve the curfew issues (which made the '09 shows seem really short). It did seem the blacked out the venue for the next day, so they're shouldn't be any issues of playing late.
The '00 shows went crazy late (on of 'em didn't end until after 1:30am). The '02 and '09 shows ended at 11pm. Since there's an opening band in Seattle we need a late curfew to get anything close to what the East coasters got.
That would be awesome!

Exactly what I was thinking for Seattle since the day they announced. No second show, last show of the tour, and after seeing some of these sets on the first leg - why the hell not?
I know I'm definitely ready to hit my shows in Dallas, OKC, and Seattle after having to go through the torture and watch the first leg shows from the sidelines.

I'm hoping for a marathon set in Seattle to finish the tour
Mud honey is opening more than Vancouver, we now have openers for
Dallas
Oklahoma
Portland
Spokane
Calgary
Vancouver
Seattle
That's 7 of 12 shows having an opener.
That is my only concern as well. Doing Philly 1-2, and Hartford, that's how the shows should be. No openers, once the lights go down its on for 3 hours, all pearl jam.
I am worried that the shows with openers are going to have shorter shows.
In the past, openers usually take stage at 7:30, and play until 8:15. Then the crew sets up for pearl jam and they take the stage at 9. This has been the norm at shows for a long time.
I think it will be terrible for these shows to get a shorter show. Almost everyone I see can't stand mud honey, think they are too loud etc. We paid to see pearl jam, not mud honey.
I guess we will find out next weekend once the Dallas and OKC shows happen.
PJ normally goes on about 8:50 to 9:00 when there are openers. I think the sets will be in the 29-31 song range.
2015: Global Citizen Festival
2016: Philly 1, Philly 2, MSG 1, MSG 2, Fenway 2
2018: Fenway 1, Fenway 2
2024: MSG 2, Philly 1, Philly 2, Fenway 1, Fenway 2
The set lists will continue to be very varied and diverse, maybe even more so than the first leg. Still tons of songs they can bust out for the second leg.
And oh yeah, Seattle will be that pinnacle 40-song, behemoth of a show to end the tour. Opening band or not, make it happen. BOOM.

I don't want to see sucky Mudhoney in Dallas and OKC. I guess I'll be drinking extra beers until I head into the show around 8:35ish then. Anyone down?
It's not Mudhoney but Midlake in Dallas and OKC. It's a pity I can't make it to the USA cause I would love to see them open for PJ.
Oh God yes.
