Riot Act is a phenomenal album. LIVE.
I think the boys give it more live than they did in the studio.
And I could say this about every song they ever made, but I feel it to be really true for Riot Act more than any other album.8/29/00*5/2/03*7/2/03*7/3/03*7/11/03*9/28/04*5/24/06*6/28/08*5/15/10*5/17/10* 10/16/13*10/25/13* 4/28/16*4/28/16*8/5/16*8/7/16 EV 6/15/11 Brad 10/27/020 -

^ sony didn't drop them, pearl jam fulfilled their contract and then moved on. i think they had a decent relationship with a couple of people at Sony even after that, but those folks left and is probably one of the reasons we haven't seen further reissues after ten/vs/vitalogy."If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." Must not have been that poor of relations, b/c S/T came out on a different subsidiary of Sony, in J Records. Surely any record company would feel lucky to have them, so I think they just felt it was time for a little more independence, though they've had distribution deals with both of the last 2.
Riot Act is a solid album and has some cool stuff. Ed's subdued vox aside, it may be their best sounding album.0 -
