My son and I have built a rocket with room for a human pilot. We obtained permission to launch it out in the Black Rock Desert, and we've performed 21 unmanned launches out there with zero failures/difficulties. Now that we're sure that our rocket is safe, we're looking for a pilot. I would do it, but both my son and myself have to stay on the ground to handle telemetry/communications/etc.
We have reason to believe that the rocket can cross the Karman line (the boundary of outer space; 62 miles up). If that happens, you will be part of history as the first astronaut to reach space in an amateur rocket! In any case, we'll offer you extremely generous compensation and transportation to and from the site.
Believe it or not, no special skills are required; all we need is a healthy person who can follow basic instructions and has an adventurous spirit. If you're that person, please email me with a phone number. We'll call you ASAP, make sure like you sound like a good fit, and go over some details.
Location: Anywhere in Boise

Compensation: $10000

I'm reminded of an old Weekend Update joke.Jimmy Fallon wrote:An Australian man, Rod Milner, announced that next March he plans to skydive from 25 miles above the Earth, reaching speeds over 1,000 miles an hour, and breaking the sound barrier. And, in future news, Rod Milner is dead."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0

Where is that acid miner when you need him? :think:The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
