    I agree generally. The british museum has all kinds of explanations as to why they should keep them. They hand out flyers in there 

    However last time I was in Athens I was shocked by the lack of security at monuments.  You can basically climb over whatever and no one was there to stop you. People were touching everything. I was alarmed by that, truly. Way different than Rome which is similar in the fact there are monuments and ruins all over the center of a modern city 

    they belong to Greece so it’s up to them how they want to preserve them or not. Inside museums were better and that’s where they would go presumably
