I'm partial to Curious George myself.

I think the problem is some read the book, but you really had to be there in the moment.

Watching the movie just doesn't do justice to those that got the first hand experience.
  • Yes! It's Terrific!
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

I think the intense books written between 91-94 were better
Plus you had those crazy long and varied books written in 2009
Hell, 2010 had some great books too

Nothing will ever touch the books written in 2003 and it is blasphemous to suggest otherwise.

People have a tendency to think the last children's book they read was the "Greatest ever!" Those of you saying Charlotte's Web is in the top 20 are just saying it on emotion. It is PREPOSTEROUS to say it's in the top 20, it's not even in the top 200! And I know this, even though I haven't actually read it yet.

Seriously, check out the children's library book chronology... there are at least 40 cave paintings of children's stories that blow away anything in Charlotte's Web.

I must concur with this... I tear up every time I read it.

Was leafing through my nephew's copy of 'Where the Sidewalk Ends" just the other day.
