It's another sad day in the Pacific NW. Another Police Officer shot. The Officer was responding to a house fire to help someone and got shot.

I'm a Sheriff's Deputy and take pride in being involved in my community. I've seen way to much senseless violence and death at the hands of someone using a firearm.

I came home from the movies this evening and noticed my wife looked upset. I can't imagine how she feels. A few years ago the City of Rainier, Oregon lost a well respected Police Chief. Again to violence. And know another potential death.

The song sirens hits home in a big way. A few days ago I asked my wife to listen lyrics. That song sticks in my head every time I head out the door for work.

What is happening to our society? The violence is sickening.
