Guitarplayer, sorry I just don't believe putting a musque on the site of...or anywhere near ground zero is a good thing and I am not the only who feels that way, just for the fun of it why don't somebody with a little more knoldge post the differences between the "extremist and peace loving muslims" and their different beliefs and undrestanding of their book (koran) cause to tell you the truth everything I have heard aint good for Americans...except that they want to come to our country and force their beliefs on us and change our laws to accomidate their beliefs, the muslim people have had a lot of bad press with accounts to back them up and I have asked for some poitive stories from folks on here and nobody has posted any..muslims helping the homeless,abondend children,medical advancement etc. because everything I have read is give me give me and "in our culture I am allowed to do this" and they just don't get it that they came to OUR country for a reason ...and if they don't like our culture or our laws I would like it they would go back to where they came from rather than break them and demand change to fit their agenda...you know like honor killing and stuff like that.

This is what Americans and Extremist Christians are trying to do to them and within our own government. I am Catholic and I said that, by the way. We are at their throats just as much as they are with us.
And I remember a thread a month or 2 ago where someone talked about the views of muslims, and he pointed out the difference between extremists and nonextremists. People who talk about how bad they are sometimes take the Quaran out of context.
America is a place of religious freedom. You must respect that.
And I know that there is a major difference between muslim extremists and christian extremists. But you cannot assume a small minority represents the majority, just like how I hate when some atheists assume the extremist christians represent all christians.
