Ed playing guitar, can't make it to the mic in time

I noticed at both Chicago songs that sometimes Ed has trouble making to the mic in time to start singing. Particularily during "Severed Hand", and the first night during "Porch", he missed the first few lines and threw the mic down in disgust. The crowd got a good laugh. Anyone else noticed this this tour? It's almost painful to watch knowing in your head, "Ed, hurry up you gotta sing" and he is over by Matt's drumkit putting his guitar down, and he sprints to the mic stand.

Wow, you got pretty upset about this. Sort of makes you look like a tool.
By the way.....I've always thought that 2 guitarists are enough. Ed should set his down forever. Frankly, it's insulting to Stone and Mike, for Ed to have to start out a song while Stone and Mike stand around with their thumbs in their noses.

There were problems, especially on night two, where he was addressing the side of the stage for the crew to make adjustments that never really happened the way he wanted, causing him to toss the mic stand down im disgust. There were some technical things really hurting portions of the show, but it definitely wasn't Vedder slowly finding a mic.
You take this internet thing way too seriously...
Nobody in this thread complained about the band at all...
50 Dead shows gives you the right to give us a lesson in "Rock Music 101"?
I'm not impressed. I've been to over 75 Widespread Panic shows, and 40 Phish shows. How does that pertain to comments regarding PJ? It doesn't. And neither do your Dead shows.
If I have the opinion that it's ridiculous for Ed to play an intro (that Stone could probably play better anyways), and then set the guitar down and race back to the mic......then I'm entitled to that opinion.

He certainly wasn't playing guitar on it in 91. He may have written it, but he wasn't on guitar. Wonder why the elitists aren't upset about them not playing it in it's pure form???
