Baby boy born to Pearl Jam today

I was fortunate enough to get tickets for the London, ON show last summer through the lottery. However, my wife was expecting our second child and was having a really rough pregnancy so we had to make the tough decision not to attend. I gifted the tickets back to the ten club for some lucky couple to enjoy.

Fast forward to today. My wife at 41 weeks pregnant had to have a section because our baby boy was so big (10 lbs 8 ounces). I'm sitting in the OR while they have her cut open and what do the doctors have playing while they are working on her? the Vitalogy album. He was born to "Betterman" at 9 am this morning.

Figured I'd share that with the community. I couldn't have asked for better way for the little man to be brought into this world than to have the best band in the world playing in the background.

    Congrats!
It's a disease and they're all green, it emanates from their being...
  • i'd say if he were born to "not for you" you may wanna get a paternity test...

i guess "last exit" would have been rather fitting as well

    all joking aside, congrats...
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...
  • Congrats! What a special way for your little guy to enter the world! Wishing you all much happiness! :D

Thanks. I wish I could, but I live in Newfoundland, Canada. It's a bit pricey to get out of here. I'm hoping for some dates in Toronto or Montreal next year. We were lucky to have Pearl Jam play our province in 2005 for two shows. Every other show we've had to visit one of those two cities.

Congrats! Great news. I think this means he's destined to become a PJ fan!
I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

Congrats... Only thing better would be having Ed throw him a tambourine when he popped out.

Congrats! We got to play the music of our choice for my son's birth. Gave them a Pearl Jam mix. By time I got my senses together (took a minute) I looked back at the previous song and it was "Come Back". Wife cried at Wrigley when we got to hear it together. When it comes on at home we always tell Eddie (yes) that this is "his song".

Much love and get some rest!
    Peace, Love, Pearl Jam
