never happened to me before...

this morning my friend bailed on me. many of you saw my post offering a ticket for face today.

someone emailed me and said they'd take it.

they even sent me their address (including apt #), phone number and a picture of them so i'd recognize them...

AND THEN DIDN'T SHOW UP...or answer my calls/texts. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS NIGHT COST ME $180.

That being said...I sat 5th row and it was AWESOME! Had a great time and hope that the loser who dicked me over fell into a hole and that would be the only reason why he didn't have the balls to at least call me so I could've sold the ticket instead of standing there waiting...

Sorry for this rant, I'm really not one to complain, but shit like this just ain't cool....

I would be more pissed at your friend screwing you over than someone from a message board.

Not cool. But there are always two sides to a story. Most people here are good, at least in my experiences. Sorry you had a bad one, but at least you enjoyed the show! :)

Give them a shot to explain what happened....for all you know, they COULD'NT make it....chill.......then be upset. You don't necessarily know the story yet....otherwise, then I would be PO'd. Just my 2 cents....

i'd LOVE to hear his side...seriously. he had plenty of chances to tell it to me...

i've done 8 trades/sales from the boards and this was first bad apple. i know it happens, just want the guy to know it wasn't cool.

whatEVs, i'm over it...show was great...5th row definitely helped, not gonna lie :)

Yep, I did three of the west coast, so I know! So glad it didn't ruin the experience for you. :)

Still doesn't explain why the guy didn't call him or even pm him on the board....or at the very least left a note in the lobby of his apartment for this guy to find.

And why didn't you eventually give up and sell the ticket to someone else? I'd have called one last time ... "If you don't show up in 15 minutes, I'm selling to someone else" ... then SELL IT.

I waited in line for four hours for a ticket drop in LA, only to come up empty. Then, checked the remaining scalpers ... who all wanted $300 for a single. I would have killed to find someone selling for face at the venue.

I understand you were just trying to be cool and wait for this no-show ... but fuck ... at some point you have to give up the ghost and sell it to someone else.

It was crazy hard for people selling tix tonight. Surprising since so many people wanted them when they first went on sale.

What if he got hit by a truck on the way to the venue?

I agree with whoever said, wait for the explanation. Odds are you did get screwed by unfortunate things do happen. Just wait a day to judge.

Glad you had a good time at the show.

then the OP only got "screwed" out of $90.

wasn't there anyone looking for a ticket outside before the show? i've had the same thing happen to me (friend was supposed to meet me outside the venue before a bob dylan show and never showed up). i waited as long as i thought was necessary then put the extra in the air and said "i have one for face value!" the ticket was gone within 20 seconds.
