At first I thought, did I spill my beer? Are my allergies flaring up again? Nope!! Lost it…..
Anybody else?

I loved it. It's my 3 year old daughter's favorite song right now ("Dada, play Fear Goes Away!!!"), and it reminded me of her each time I saw it. I only took a couple of videos snippets this tour, and that was the only song. I now have 3 snippets of the "fear goes away" section, from 3 different shows....and she loves them.

    It's special to me.

I love the song, but thought I would enjoy it more live. I want to see it transition into the encores and see how it holds up.

Since the Lightning Bolt CD was released on the same day that I was driving to MA to see Pearl Jam’s Worcester 1 show, I was hearing the new songs for the very 1st time as I was driving there. I loved Sirens, Getaway, Lightning Bolt, Infallible and Swallowed Whole right away, but hearing Sirens to me was like a junking getting their first fix of a new drug of choice – I couldn't hear it enough.

At the show, when this song started, I held my breath hoping that hearing this song live would be at least half as good as the recorded version. Well, Eddie nailed it and the song sounded absolutely phenomenal. To me, it was one of those magical music moments that I just wanted to soak in and remember forever.

That moment was only as awesomely comparable as seeing Springsteen perform Jungleland. What could possible top either of these events? I have been musically fulfilled.

My daughter is 3 and she loves this song too! The problem is when she is in the car and she wants to listen to this song and this song only. I am trying to share the love with the rest of the songs.

Love the studio version, love the live version. Enjoyed watching Mike switch from the acoustic to the electric and Eddie jumping in on acoustic to cover.

I thought "Wow, this is 100 times better than the studio version." Note that I am one of the (few) people who really disliked this song on first listen.

Oh, man. They pull it off so well and the band sounds really tight. They do on every song but hearing Sirens live really stopped me in my tracks, and I'm pretty sure my heart stopped for five minutes. Then they played I Am Mine and brought me back to life,
I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

I heard it live before hearing the album version and prefer it live. It was the only time during the Pittsburgh show that I just stood and listened. Good stuff.
I smile, but who am I kidding...
  • I went to get a beer and realized again how terrible and corny the song is.

And so you see, I have come to doubt
