PM not showing in sent messages

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I just tried to send a pm twice to the same person and it's not showing anywhere in my pm's. I tried to send one about a month ago and it was the same thing. Can someone please help me out. Thanks

    if it's still in your outbox, that means the person you've sent it to hasn't read it yet. It'll go to your sent messages once it's been opened by the recipient.

    I can't see it anywhere , outbox, sent items, drafts......no clue what I'm doing wrong. But thanks for the heads up. Any other ideas?
