I FINALLY picked up a new 5-way switch for my strat. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Oak-Grigsby ... 3f297ec159

I hope that will work.

What type of solder can I use? I have the plumbers solder, now.

60/40 rosin core about and you'll want it pretty thin.
  • I buy my solder here. I've found that even getting thin 60-40 from a place like Radioshack just doesn't work as effectively as the stuff I've bought from music stores.

Thick solder is bad news. Harder to work with - I can't tell you how many pots I've burned out over the years - and just doesn't seem to ground correctly.
