Charlottesville Trasportation

I'm staying at a hotel on W. Main street in Charlottesville, what is my best bet for transportation to and from the arena? I've had some locals tell me the #7 bus will get me there and back, but it looks like the last run is at 11:30 so I don't trust making that back.

I'd also like to know some good places to eat and drink, specifically with a good beer selection. I had lunch at Michael's Bistro & Taphouse today, pretty good and a decent beer tap list, but not many taps. The tap list at Sedona Taphouse looks pretty good and might not be too far from the arena.

Sedona is where the wishlist pre party will be. sorry but I drive everywhere and am not familiar with public transport. if you have a car, drive to Sedona, park and walk to the show.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
    ride"!

  • Hey.
    GENIUS idea, bird889!

Was stressing this aspect as well,
not being able to figure out the viable, reliable, and CHEAP, method of transport to a show in a small town with bad\little p-trans and narry a parking spot.

Hopefully the entire pre-party doesn't try this and get towed in mass by a greedy ass trucking outfit.
    :D
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
  • Looks like parking could be quite an issue for everyone driving in from out of town...

Is towing an issue if cars are parked in the shopping center lots just north of the venue?
He who forgets, will be destined to remember...

Driving to Sedona seems like a good idea. Can stop in there afterwards and wait for traffic to clear as well. Wish they weren't doing a tap takeover today, had a few things on the list yesterday that I would have liked to have tried, oh well.

Yeh, that takeover looks pretty weak, but it can't be all the taps. Looks like they have twenty plus from the website.
What was lookin good from yesterday?
    Mmmm, beeeeer.

Doesn't look like they updated the list, takeover normally will be everything but I'm not sure those 3 breweries have enough of a selection. I was specifically interested in: The Bruery Tart of Darkness.
