I spoke to at least ten people at shows this past week that joined the ten club when they heard rumors of a possible 2013 US tour. As pointed out in another thread, wayyyyy too many undeserving in GA.

Should have been a cutoff for GA maybe??

Doesn't mean they're not fans though. Maybe they thought it was lame to join a fan club?

That's why I didn't join until 13 years after my first show.

Everyone deserves an equal chance for GA. But yes, I feel like I met more people this time around who were seeing the band for the first time, or have read more reviews from first-timers, than in the past,

I have been in the 10 Club since 1993 and have the corresponding 10C number.
That doesn't make me a bigger fan or a more deserving person to the best tickets. There's no rule in the 10 Club that says so and there is no rule on how people are supposed to act in a GA section.

Respectfully, I think the sense of entitlement or right to decide who 'deserves' to be up close when we all pay the same amount of money is misguided.

I've been a fan since "Ten" was released and have seen a few great performances, and some not as good. I loved all of them though. This will be my first one getting tickets through my 10C membership as I only joined after the 2006 tour, and my first GA show. I would hate to think my wife and I have had a special relationship with this music for the entire time they have been a band only to be made to feel like some kind of undeserving interloper in Baltimore. I hope that doesn't happen.

I just want to say, i have been to 10 shows and a member since 1997 and consider myself a HUGE fan. I still dont feel like i am welcome by the fan clubbers. i feel like a lot of people in the ten club seats are pearl jam snobs... i just go to have a good time... if you think you are a bigger fan or were there first... go F yourself.. We should be welcoming of ALL fans, and you should be happy to share your favorite band with others.. i know i am.
