I'm flying home to Maryland (from Los Angeles) to take my Dad to his very first Pearl Jam show!
I love my dad; really looking forward to going to the show with him. I remember him surprising me when I was 15 by bringing home a copy of Vs. on the day it was released. He let me play it in our dining room while my family was eating dinner.
For the past several weeks I've been emailing him a "Pearl Jam Song A Day." Along with each entry, I give a quick write-up of what I like about the song; what it means to me.
In no particular order, here were the songs I sent him:
Long Road, Down, Wishlist, Rearviewmirror, Off He Goes, Dissident, Animal, The Fixer, Glorified G, Do the Evolution, Breath, State of Love and Trust, Even Flow, Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town, Betterman, Unthought Known, World Wide Suicide, Corduroy, Given to Fly, Sirens, Just Breathe, Unemployable, In Hiding, and Yellow Ledbetter.
Hope to hear a few of these in Baltimore!
