Found an iPhone Brooklyn 2 Pit - is it yours??

My friend and I found an iPhone on the ground in the middle of Brooklyn #2, in the pit about 5-10 people back from McCready. We tried to ask everyone around us but it clearly wasn't good timing, and no one claimed it. My friend thought it would be better for us to track down the owner than turn it in to lost & found at Barclay's...it died shortly after the show and then neither of us were able to charge it for a few days, and now it appears to have been canceled (no signal anywhere). We couldn't get past the screen lock to do much of anything, either way.

Just hoping to find the owner, who I'm assuming is a 10c member since we were in the pit. Let me know if you think it's yours!!!

    I'll try the Apple store thing, but won't have time for another few days since I'm heading to Hartford tomorrow :D I did some quick research, though, and it's not clear if they can break into the phone at the store due to privacy rules.

    I'm just trying to do my good deed! I don't want to upset the PJ karma gods!!!

    I know this is a long shot and you've maybe already tried it. But have you gone through his recent calls list and called the last person he/she called? Or even text the last person that was texted?

    sorry I didn't see the part where the phone is disabled now. Nevermind. Ashame the owner didnt turn the "locate phone" feature one so they could locate it when they got home.

    This is all very nice of you..... I think if I lost my phone at a venue and no one answers when I tried calling it, the first place I'd check would be the lost and found at the venue....

    Ugh I know, totally agreed and I told my friend that, but she was adamant that we (ahem, I) would be better and that the lost & found would be full of phones that will never end up back with their owners. Trust me, I wish I didn't have this thing in my possession.
