I read in a couple posts that wristbands are required for the posters?
Can someone clarify this a bit?

You buy a poster like you usually would but dont get the poster get a wristband and then you pick the poster up at the end of the show on your way out.

So far WPB and TPA was like that

In WPB, I did not get one, but stuck around until the booth closed and bought a leftover. It was a pretty tense situation becuase everyone was complaining they didn't have a wristband. I think they clearly should have notified the 10C members of the new policy becuase some people were really bent out of shape.
Its a great plan because then you don't have to haul the poster around through the show and risk it getting trashed.
That was Greg, The merch guy's idea at the Vic. Saves you from crushing your poster, sweating on your poster, having a drunk guy puke or spill his or her beverage on your poster...a very good idea!

do you have to be amember of 10c to get a wrist band
No.
Yeah, it is awesome! What would make it even more so, would be if we could purchase a wristband when we picked up our tenclub tickets. Would save all that hassle of trying to get to the front of the merch stand before they sell out.
