Just saw that Music on Vinyl is reissuing the Temple of the Dog album on purple/pink vinyl. It is limited to 5,000 copies. Amazon says its out the 29th of Oct but the other site doesn't list a date. I'm ordering a copy at Amazon now for prime delivery.

$49.98 at Amazon

$42.98 at Acoustic Sounds (+ship?)

I cancelled my order from Amazon and ordered mine from sound stage direct for cheaper and it confirms that it is purple vinyl. :)

Some info from a fellow vinyl collector regarding sound stage direct:

"SSD allows you to request that they open your record for you and ship your records outside the jacket so that you avoid seam splits. I usually remember to do this, but I forgot to do it for my MOVLP800 order (Mother Love Bone - Purple vinyl 2LP) and my cover had wicked seam splits at least 1.5" on the top. It was packaged perfectly but if the vinyl has some room inside the sleeve the only way to prevent it is to crush the cover and no-one wants that - so you have to
decide between opening it yourself with seam splits or having them offer to open if for you."

I tried to get Mother Love Bone on Purple vinyl through an Amazon pre-sale and got sent black vinyl. Be careful with Amazon, they say they have them but they really don't know. If you want anything that is limited edition I would avoid, try elsewhere.

That's what another member told me... I didn't have any problems with the MLB purple vinyl through Sound Stage Direct so that's where I ordered my TOTD purple vinyl from.

Too expensive for me. Just because it's on colored vinyl doesn't mean it needs to be close to $50. Vinyl prices have just gotten ridiculous!

I agree. I would love to have this, but I just can't shell out $50 for it.

Has anyone received their copy from Soundstage Direct yet? My tracking number doesn't have any information about its location and its been almost a week since they sent it to me.
