Record Player with usb through tv with soundbar?

Does anyone have a setup where they have a record player with a usb into the tv that uses a sound bar that runs on one optical cable via HDMI? I minimized my stereo to one sound bar but want to get a record player. Any insight is appreciated.

    I do this stuff for a living and would be more than happy to help you out.

    First of all it sounds like your making it way more complicated than it needs to be... You are mentioning way to many connections.

    First question what type of outputs does your record player have? Does is just have a USB or does it also have an analog audio output and if it has an analog audio output do you know if it has a built in phono preamp? Or you can just give the model number and if an figure it out for you.

    Now I need to know about the sound bar.. What type of inputs doesn't have? HDMI in? Digital optical or coax in? Or analog audio in? And do you have the model number for this?

    It might also be helpful if you gave me the model number for your TV in case your soundbar has a limited amount of inputs.

    Can you please help me with this same issue? I know I have an LG TV with an LG sound bar with an optic cable that hooks in the back of the TV. I know my turn table has a usb output and the red and white audio cables. The Tv is a smart Tv that can connect to the internet and has a remote like a wii. I will get you the addition al info you need. Thanks!

    Yep just get me the model numbers of all the pieces of equipment you have.

    Thanks for the help. I have a Bose Sound bar cinemate sr1. My Tv is a samsung LN4600A. I want to buy a record player but was hesitant to do so unless I can somehow connect it to the sound bar.

    If the turntable has a USB it has to have a built-in pre-amp. I have never heard of one where this isn't the case. So all you would need is the soundbar to have a set of rca inputs. Done.

    i have a Samsung soundbar that ONLY has HDMI or USB connection. so that would mean I need to find a turntable with a USB port? or can I get one without one and (is there?) get an RCA to USB converter?
