    Read people's reaction on twitter. Some like, some don't or don't know why the Pearl Jam mentions. The majority love it though

    Joe Buck mentioned the new album, and then dropped Ed's name: "Eddie Vedder has been watching this World Series....I know that for a FACT". He almost yelled "FACT" into his mic, like he was specifically making it known that he knows Ed personally or something. My wife and I looked at each other, thinking it was odd.

    And how is he watching it while he's on stage?

    If Pearl Jam were *really* baseball fans, they wouldn't tour in October. As a baseball fan who watches every playoff game, this tour and album release has made my life very difficult for the last few weeks. I'll sleep in November, I guess.

    If I ever end up in a huge band that tours nationally, we won't be setting any dates in October or March (NCAA basketball tournament). For the record, I'm not a musician, so this is somewhat unlikely to happen.

    I admit it. Thank God for the DVR. Now if my team (the Mets) were in the playoffs-- a fantastic notion, I'll grant you-- I would have been eating my fan club tickets. I'll watch the Dodgers and Cardinals on delay, but I'd have to watch the Mets live.

    Ending the WS coverage with YL was both fitting in that it's usually how live shows and "Friends" end, but also kind of sketchy because of the lyrics and the references to/shots of the marathon bombing...
