Immagine DVD question

dvd is something like region 2-4

but it only plays on my player in black and white ( i live in uk)

any ideas

some of it is supposed to be in colour isnt it??? :)

    buy a colour TV



    actually it might be because its in NTSC format... your tv might only play PAL.. check it out on your PC... which is a computer, not a policeman :)
    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    dead on

    the dvd player is connect via rca leads and not a scart so that might be a factor with the pal/ntsc thing
    will try the pc thing

    I had exactly the same problem and it ended up being my TV. My Showbox DVD and some other Dave Matthews stuff i had would only play in grainy B/W. Bought new TV last Xmas and that fixed it! Watched Showbox in colour for a change... :)

    your TV isn't NTSC compatible.
    BUT, check your DVD player manual, many have an inbuilt NTSC-PAL converter.
    you might have to select something in the setup that's all.

    I had the same problem, also with the showbox dvd. Its is my dvd player, not the tv. I dunno why or what to do, I just have an old dvd player that sometimes skips but thankfully plays them in colour. Perhaps there is some kind of code for the dvd player as there are for when playing american dvds.
