I was at Philly 2, but to quote the fanview:
Encore Break 1
He continues, “I have been told by people who listen to this stuff closer than I do that we played this next song at the Spectrum but we didn’t actually finish it. So we are gonna play it and just keep on going.”)

I just re-listened to these songs at the Spectrum shows, and they definitely complete Parachutes but said they would finish Come Back later.

When he said it live, I said, "All right, Come Back", but then they played Parachutes and I was super confused...

Just an interesting thing I noticed... Anyone else realize this?

    Well, as long as they kept their promise of COMING BACK to the song they aborted. Now they need to finish Green Disease!

    I also noticed that Ed needed a cheat sheet for Parachutes last night.....

    Yes, I knew they definitely completed Parachutes at Spectrum 1 (being there and all) and did not complete Come Back (from boot). He got it mixed up or somebody gave him wrong facts and I was sad they played Parachutes instead of Come Back, only to be thrilled 2 songs later when they played that amazing version of Come Back. :D:D:D

    EDIT: They also completed Green Disease at Spectrum 1. Such a great underrated show!

    I started screaming Come Back (and knew I was right) when Eddie said they didn't finish it last time. I got worried that we would miss Come Back once again because of the confusion. But, 2 songs later there it was. And damn was it a great one!

    I realized this at it was happening and told my gf that I guarantee Come Back is also on the set and EV was just too drunk and mixed up the Pearl Jam songs :lol:

    I was but for some reason I thought it was Gone that was the song that was suppose to be played and never did.

    Thanks for verifying that I'm not crazy - when he said it I immediately thought Come Back, but when they played Parachutes I just assumed that I had "misremembered" :D

    man you guys are critical! he said someone told him (maybe a fan) that so I'm guessing that person might have screwed up. parachutes was actually really good live. I'm glad I got to hear it.

    Does anyone know WHY they couldn't finish Come Back at the Specrtum in 2010?
    Eddie seems to say something like "I can't do this" and then looks a bit unhappy about it...

    Has this been discussed?

    He couldn't remember the words. He said they'd try it again later and they never did.

    This "continue playing _______" thing can be a perpetual thing now. They started playing Green Disease at WFC 2 and stopped during the intro and played Untitled/MFC instead.
