set: Elderly Woman, Off He Goes, Thumbing My Way, Thin Air, Breakerfall, Green Disease, Corduroy, Save You, Ghost, Cropduster, I Am Mine, Love Boat Captain, Gods' Dice, 1/2 Full, Daughter/(War), You Are, Rearviewmirror
enc 1: Bushleaguer, Insignificance, Better Man, Do The Evolution, Yellow Ledbetter
enc 2: Soon Forget, Don't Believe in Christmas (The Sonics)
notes: True to form, the band is more relaxed and has a much better energy the second night. Unusual opening with 'Elderly Woman.' 'Daughter' is tagged with Edwin Star's 'War,'' which turns into a crowd chant ("War! What's it good for? Absolutely nothing! Say it again ...") Ed dons a Bush mask upon returning for the encore, leading to 'Bushleaguer.' A Bill Gates mask is evidenced during 'DTE.' A uke in a telecaster shape comes out for 'Soon Forget' and lyrics are a struggle (for many of the songs). 'Don't Believe in Christmas' is a cover, originally by the old Tacoma punk band, The Sonics.
"hear my name, take a good look, this could be the day."
i'd love to get my hands on a copy of the 2/26/95 manila show, as well as any other show from the tour of asia, australia, and new zealand in '95. i already have 3/17/95 melbourne & all 3 japan shows. any help would be greatly appreciated. i posted my list somewhere earlier in this thread, if you want something to megaupload in return.
thanks again, y'all.
hey y'all, just throwing this request out there again - manila, philipines - 1995. does anyone even know if there is a copy of this show out there?
set: Sometimes, Grievance, Corduroy, Go, Hail Hail, Dissident, Evacuation, Wishlist, Better Man, Given To Fly, State of Love and Trust, Untitled, MFC, Habit, Thin Air, Even Flow, Black, Insignificance, Porch
enc 1: Soon Forget, Do The Evolution, Leatherman, Nothingman, Elderly Woman, NEW SONG!!, Rearviewmirror
enc 2: Fuckin' Up
notes: 'Go' has Mike spinning in circles. "Good evening, Portland," Ed says after 'Dissident,' hefting the wine bottle. "I've got some good news, and some good news. The good news - we made it! *sarcastic snort* No, switch that. The good news is, YOU made it. The really good news is that we've come to Oregon ... tonight, knowing we play in a swing state -- you're all swingers whether you know it or not -- your vote counts!" 'Wishlist' has an extra verse that begins, "I wish I was the president/but I smoked too much pot ..." 'Better Man' has no 'SIFL' tag but instead has a repeated refrain instead. 'Untitled' is extended/expanded with additional lines, probably due to some tech problems with Matt's equipment. In 'Habit,' Ed falls back, comes to the front and says, "Speaking as a child from a town about five hours north of here ..." The song finishes with this wicked jam in which Ed breaks a string and Mike starts moving the guitar behind his head. "That song's about coffee in the morning, beer at night ... caffeine. It's a gateway drug." 'Thin Air' is introduced as "one of the better songs about new love - I can say that because it's written by Stone Gossard." The magic 'Even Flow' 8-ball gives us: "This one's called 'Have A Drink On Me." 'Soon Forget' has a *lengthy* dedication to Paul Allen (who owns the Rose Garden): "Are you here, Paul? You'd think he'd be here ... he can get in for free! He's kind of money conscious ... but he's not evil, I mean -- You know, Neil Young had a quote about Richard Nixon, 'even Richard Nixon has got soul' - I could never figure that line out." [From the song 'Campaigner']. 'DTE' lyric change: "They won't let me sing in the choir." 'Elderly Woman' ends and it sounds like Ed is going into a little extended ending, but instead starts singing an entirely new song, all the guys were playing, they were all playing with concentration, it was tight, this was not an improv!

damn, you've been busy......unfortunately, i think some of the shows were from here and uploaded via yousendit. If that is used, the file expires within 14 days or number of limited downloads. so, i would guess some of the shows listed aren't available.
I think that's why so many are using megaupload or sendspace. the files don't expire if there is activity on them.
"WE'RE UH, WE'RE GONNA DO THIS ONE WHICH IS UH, CERTAINLY NOT A USUAL ONE, AND THEN UH, JUST TAKE A FEW MORE MINUTES, THEN UH, AND THEN WE'RE GONNA DO OUR BEST TO KEEP TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS AWAKE FR..." (cheering at intro)...
First of all, thank you to everyone for sharing their collection! Soon I will have my complete catalog online for people to request various shows from! In the meantime, if anyone has the following shows they would be willing to share I would be forever greatful (haven't seen them anywhere):
1.)11-05-91 Troy,New York Houston Field House
2.)08-04-92 Saratoga,New York Saratoga Performing Arts Center
Thanks in advance,if someone is able to help me out!! I have my partial catalog as well as some pictures from Hartford 2006 up already at: ottonyp.com . Hope ya enjoy the pics'!!

The Bible is full of lies - Stone is the leader of us all!
i figured as much - db etree shows the only copy that exists as having b- quality. no need to post it, if the quality is that bad. thanks, i'm gone.
it was the only show i've been to but i'm putting that right this year with a couple of euro shows
i'd really appreciate it, thanks
here you go (i posted it above):
