thats easy to believe ... look at all the debris that washed up in BC from the tsunami that hit Japan, and what about the nuclear plant that was extremely damaged, that has probably contaminated the pacific ocean. Like you've said pollution has no borders. We here in Ontario are effected by air pollution from the US industrial heartland and all the coal plants in operation. Windsor, Ontario shares the Detroit river and with the help of the federal government has spent a lot $$$ to keep raw sewage out of the river, yet Detroit dumps tons and tons of raw sewage in the river, apparently the bankrupt cesspool has no money to solve an environmental issue, but they have hundreds of millions to build a new hockey arena so millionaire hockey players have a place to play :fp: :fp: :fp:, maybe that billionaire owner should put up his own cash and tell them to spend the money to clean up the city.

ridiculous isn't it ... he can easily afford the arena himself ... but it's easier to get the taxpayer to fund it.

I agree with you ... I grew up in a small town, now live in a fairly populated area, absolutely fucking hate it. Small towns less population, everything moving slowly is the way to go.

But to an extent, it's what you make it and how you choose to live.

There's about a ten-mile area in which I was born and have lived my entire life...pretty much in the heart of LA/West Hollywood. Busy busy busy! And probably true to most of the stereotypes attached to this city.

My husband and me, though...we're averse to crowds and obnoxious look-at-me types.

So our home is our sanctuary.

(but yes, we have a LOT of fucking smog)
