He should like his War Pigs. One of the greatest American rock songs by one of the greatest American rock bands.

  • It's in Alive at Pinkpop festival 92 I believe! Also in Porch In Zurich Switzerland! Many more too but those are too I remember specifically!

Can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not. War Pigs is a Black Sabbath song. Black Sabbath are about as American as the Beatles.

Maybe they just know it as a Faith No More song?

Yeah, McCready does it a lot. I noticed it awhile ago in some '05 boots. Took me awhile to figure out what the hell he was playing.

Mike McCready is great enough to play Mike McCready and have people copy him rather than the other way around. There's more than enough material in Pearl Jam's own music to base solos upon, one shouldn't have to seek out others work to fill the time.

Just my snooty opinion of course

Tell them you love them. Never let the mundane, the unimportant, or worse, the misunderstood, be the final words of parting.

    Tell them.

  • One of the more memorable moments from Boston 1 '04 was after the opening band while waiting for Pearl Jam to come on, Sabbath's War Pigs was piped into the arena.

There was the big ass guy who was 100% in the ZONE! He was playing air guitar, wailing his arms aroung playing imaginary drums, and singing his heart out. Hit every single nuance of the song. Cracked me up.

I saw Sabbath back in 1980...the Black & Blue (Blue Oyster Cult) Tour at the Gah-den. Had the most amazing seats. 1st row, 1st balcony dead center. Watched the whole show sitting on the balcony ledge with my feet dangling through the air. It was a blast. I was tripping my brains out on some great acid (Tetra Gamma Ton...something like that) and felt as if I was on a mountain-side watching the music unfold in front of me.
