I'd rather get Pendulum -> Release than Release -> [traditional second slot rocker]

plus, you never know what future tours will bring. in 3 years, Pendulum may be as rare as Oceans. and people will be saying, "damn! I wish I coulda got Pendulum as the opener tonight!", and in 6-8 years, they may not be touring any more at all. and people who got shut out this tour will have never heard Pendulum.

we should all be thankful that we're all getting it now. not everyone goes to multiple shows every tour. it's an excellent opener.

Was happy to experience pendulum as opener last night. Stood clear of Fridays set list so I could be surprised. I am flying back to Orlando now after my one show of this tour that I will see. I have seen Wash as opener in July 03 and agree that every show this tour the traditional openers are played second and even third song (release, long road in worchester). Brooklyn 2 was the best show I have seen since paramount NYC April 17, 1994. Truly great and even better in many ways. Glad they played pendulum two nights in a row in the same city so I could hear it.

Consider Pendulum the walk-on song, and the second song to be the actual opener. All the second songs so far this tour have been traditional openers.

Clearly, this is how the band is approaching it.

Exactly. I mean, they're touring on a new record so idk what ppl going to multiple shows would be disappointed about Pendulum opening every one. I was at both Brooklyn shows and absolutely loved it.

If they weren't touring on a record and opened both NYC shows I attend with Corduroy, Hail Hail, and Save You.. then I'd be a little meh.

Unless it's their first-ever Release > Long Road (Worcester 1) ... But if that was your only show this tour you would not have gotten Pendulum at all.
