  • Had GA tickets, and it was a very well organized line, thank you fellow PJ fans. The venue did a good job with GA admittance too overall. Do yourself a favor and take all your stuff out of your pockets, etc and the line goes smoother for everyone.

I was second row between Ed and Stone, just behind the 100th show guy. Great people in our little area, many had been closeby to us in the line, and everyone was into the whole setlist. Wonderful time meeting the guy from Venice, the dudes from Suffolk Cty, and the couple from Lake George, and hanging with my PJ bestie Paola.

Some huge bull of a guy got removed during Sirens, and he was not going down without a fight; it was a bit scarey - the guy looked like he was messed up on drugs in the brief moments I saw him wildly resisting a huge security guy.

Ed did have at least 1 guitar crap out on him, and he was having other difficulties, then something was wrong with his wine - and he started dumping it all over the stage and slamming the mic stand. But his temper did fuel some excellent singing and later some swinging.

    Setlist:
Loved Pendulum-Release opener, loved Indifference for the closer.
Highlights for being included in the setlist - Oceans, Chloe/Crown, Got Some, Save You, I am Mine, Let The Records Play

New songs all sound great - I especially am loving Pendulum, MindYM, Swallowed and Infallible

The run of Why Go, Swallowed Whole,I Am Mine, Infallible and GTF was nonstop awesome; and then another amazing sprint through SPTBC, Chloe Dancer/Crown, Save You, Let The Records Play, DTE and RVM.

Then with Got Some into Porch things went wild - Jeff started the swinging lights, Ed smashed one, then was kicking over the stage lights, then swinging on another of the ball lights - there was some real unpredictable stuff going on at that point.

Can't say enough for how much Mike is on fire. In some interview Mike mentioned re-learning Eddie VanHalen, and our boy has mastered it. Eruption was mind boggling to see and hear. I had a good view of Stone, and he was having a great night too. He seemed to be enjoying/surprised at how intense the crowd was during DTE and a few other times.

Merch logistics - the merch was open early - earlier than the 10club pickup windows, so you can get your goodies and then take them back to your car/hotel, etc.

For Brooklyn night 2 we have seats. I am hoping they bust out Get Away. But after last night's setlist, I have few guesses for what may be on the setlist, and I'm sure I will love it either way.

I have a serious PJ hangover from last night. Well worth it. I was in Sec 28, side stage on Mike's side. 13 rows back. Amazing view point. Sound was great from there. Had these asshole drunks who were standing in the aisle right next to me who kept getting asked to move and then kept coming back. There were smoking some awful smelling dirt weed (with maybe something else laced in there) and literally didn't watch a second of the show. They were yelling with each other, spilling beer all over the place and being downright morons. Aside from those low souls, the show was outstanding.

I have never heard the band so tight. Ed was on FIRE. He sounded amazing. Loved the unpredictability. The light surfing during Porch was sick. Cannot get Pendulum out of my head. What a great song and a great opener. Mixed on the new stuff. MYM absolutely killed while Sirens is no better live than on the record IMO. Swallowed Whole was meh. LB was okay and Infallible I thought was pretty good. LTRP was meh as well. I just don't think the new songs are that good other than a handful. Would have loved to have heard Getaway. We'll probably get that one tonight.

Spin the black Circle was awesome. So was Got Some. That's a great live song. Cordoroy killed and Mike's van halen solo while Ed went backstage to check on what happened to his guitar, was insane. Mike was so hot last night. All in all a fantastic show.

First time ever writing a fan view after 77 shows, but I will try to after each show this tour. PJ are the greatest R&R band on the planet. Pendulum sounds perfect as an opener. I hope so many others will catch this song live. Release and Oceans in the same show?! Are you kidding? How cool is it the band honors so many fan requests. They truly spoil us and we are grateful.

Songs like Given to Fly, RVM, and Porch sounded so, so good. Chloe/Crown was special. The transition between songs was flawless. Mike was killing it last night. He had such a great sound during Crown, can't wait to hear that again on the bootleg. He was on fire, as usual. Such a pro. Cordury solo was tight and Eruption was magic - with his eyes closed even! Ed's voice is in great shape and it was nice to see Jeff and Stone into the music so much.

Other highlights included Yellow Moon - personal favorite on the new LP, Sleight of Hand, Porch, and Sonic Reducer. I hope Porch is played every night with Ed swinging and singing from the lights. SO COOL.

Taking my wife tonight for her only show this tour. We both are hoping for Hard To Imagine and Long Road. I'm 0 for my last 53 trying to catch Long Road. Haven't heard it in nearly a decade. Both songs are special to us, so we are hoping for some setlist luck tonight.

What a great band! All in attendance should consider themselves fortunate. So many other bands phone it in, play maybe 20 songs tops, usually the same songs night after night, and don't even release new music. PJ are the best. I hope others realize how fortunate we are.

it was a really good show. Oceans to open 1st encore was special, Sleight, Release as seconder all nice stuff. I loved the Eruption to Spin to Chloe to Crown to Save you- That was the highlight for me. Had they not played Let the Record Play and went from Save You straight to DTE to RVM it would have been

tonight will rock for closer to 3 hours.

Special big thanks to Guac Joe. Good lookin out and much obliged.

  • What a show! Finally catching my breath. One of the rare concerts that I have not listened to ANY music (other than a bit at after party) so I can continue to soak it all in. Last night had a very Pink Floyd feel to it, especially the 2nd set - Oceans, Yellow Moon, SoH :o  :D

To be honest Just Breathe was actually a very nice "break" at that point. Perfect timing and Ed was really into it.

My story for the night - I took my 23 yo nephew to his first PJ show last night. Well, earlier in the day between bars we were "getting ready" at his apt, and I told him the history of the band. He's a fan, but not like us nuts. Though he works in the music industry and he's really into the history of it all. So when I get to the point about Andy he cues up....yep....on his computer. Well, I add - never going to happen tonight, but if it does you will see the crowd go bonkers. Well, as soon as Ed starts alluding to Andy at the show, I turn to my nephew and just give the ol  "Holy Shit!" they're doing it!!!!!! It was great to be able to put it all in context for him before the show, but  honestly wasn't even a glimmer of hope when I was telling him the story.

So, his first show, he gets Release as a 2nd opener, Chloe full/Crown, Oceans/Yellow Moon/Sleight killer Porch and killer RVM.Yikes! lots and lots of other great stuff, but you can read the setlist.

Nice to see Angry Ed back! Where ya been, buddy? He broke the stage with his mic stand. Put a hole in the floor.

Oh, and btw, if you've never seen Chloe/Crown or Sleight of Hand, I highly recommend it.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Sounds like an AMAZING night! Great set, just blown away when I saw it this morning. So happy everybody seemed to have a great night. What a start to the tour, sorry West Coast. Hopefully they leave some gas in the tank for you guys but they're playing out of their fucking minds right now!
I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

All night to be honest. It peaked during The usual spots Porch, RVM, but he was there all night. Even stuff like Daughter was "angrier," whatever that means. I don't remember exact song he put his mic stand into the stage. It was toward end, so I will guess Porch, but I could be mistaken.

Two words it's not - Kevin Garnett.

Yes! As a life long Celtics fan, I find myself rooting for The Nets this year. I want nothing more than for Pierce and Garnett to have as many rings as Ray Allen. I would prefer they have more, but I'll settle for an equal amount.

Yeah Angry ED...It looked like he was throwing a hissy fit the way a little kid would do. He stomped around during ALIVE and tried to channel it into the song....which he did. It reminded me so much of those days when he used to be so irate singing Blood just coming out of his bowels....but this anger was different. Seemed maybe the tech issues during the night were just adding up and so he had to blow off....I was behind stage ( in the b&w shirt rocking out so hard) and I was watching Olivia watching and wondering if she's ever seen him get mad like that before....just a thought. Hey we're all human! Amazing night!! LOVE YOU ED!!!! xoxo

oh also can I just say it pisses me off when people don't even take the time to read the lyrics and listen to what he is saying and then stand there during the show bored because they don't know the new songs... their ignorance is at what is I think Eddie's best writing ever....... I mean what do you think Swallowed Whole is even about?? The world is in a scary place....we're selling our soul. It's time for us to get together and WAKE the fuck UP!!

Awesome show. I was down in ga thanks to my Italian friend and some sexy Greek guy. A million thanks to both. Release blew my mind. Corduroy was rocking. The band had tons of energy. Why go mid set was perfect. Mym live is stellar; it seems line they be been playin it since ten. It was angry and tight! Lol. That just doesn't t sound right lol

Rvm to close the first set was perfect. Oceans, my god. I couldn't t believe it. Then the only real slow part of the night for me: sleight of hand. I think it ansolutely killed the crowd.
Porch was crazy. Swinging green bulbs in all directions and Ed s hand getting stuck on the rope. Oh, yellow moon was gorgeous.
All in all a wonderful show with a great Friday night crowd. Let s shake that stage tonight!!!!

Oh, and a slowed down dte, much like the album version. Kick ass!!

Awesomely Epic Show, my 40th. Section 125. The real fans came to ROCK last night, as did the Band, and that more than made up for the poseurs and hipsters who just wanted to text to their friends that they were at the show.

Damn great and intense energy from every member of the band tonight! Stone was pogoing again!! Mike is GOD, Jeff and Matt are the fucking heartbeat of this band...I hope they felt the heat from the audience like I wanted them to. Eddie was as strong as ever, angry or not.

The songs? From my favorite new opener Pendulum, to Chloe/Crown ... Sleight of Hand, Release and Oceans in the same show?

Just when I think I've seen it all from this band, and I have seen a few things in my 40 shows, from winning the lottery and sitting front row center, to traveling across half of Canada in 2005 (following Jason and the boys on the Touring Van), to the last 4 nights at the Spectrum in 2009, to PJ20 weekend in 2011, to Wembley Arena in 2007, to Amsterdam in 2012 and London Ontario in 2013, this night ranks among the very best.

I didn't even mention how many friends I have made in that time...it was great to see so many of them sharing the love of this music with me last night.
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Awesome but have to disagree on Sleight. Other than Chloe that was the highlight. Nice to see PJ can play like that. Just an incredible mood especially at the tail of Oceans-Yellow Moon. Those 3 songs were just  just total space out and just sway to the sounds. :ugeek:

Where do I start?! Well, this was my 18th show and I have never, EVER heard them sound this good in an indoor venue.
The only thing that comes close was the 2006 in Verona, and they play fucking operas there!

Seriously, I have heard chords and layers I had never, ever heard. I was simply blown away. They could have played The Fixer on repeat and I would have been happy. But they didn't...

Pendulum sounds amazing. This is by far the show where Mike has been shining the most. The solos were otherworldly. I positively did not expect release after pendulum, so that was incredible.
Corduroy, Given to Fly, Daughter... they may be staples, but they just always make me so happy...
All the new songs were a joy to hear. Ed dedicated Infallible to Harper and Olivia... Awww.

As usual, Mister Vedder has a way of putting together setlists just for me. I needed to hear Why Go, and there it was.
Have you ever noticed that the first chords of I am mine sound like the first chords of Hold On? Yeah, I nearly fainted there. Ed dedicated it to NJ. Had I been a Staten Island fan I would have been pretty pissed, but whatever :)

Everyone's jaws were on the floor during Eruption. Yes they were.

    When Ed started saying:
“This next song was written by someone everybody up here knew. I never met him but I think about him a lot, a lot, a lot. His name was Andrew Wood.” I sat down and everyone around me patted me on the back. You see, I had a Crown curse... 17 shows without, including AV. So I had given up on it. I was shell shocked. I had even thought about starting a thread on here: "Ed... no one died or is dying... but could you play it for me anyway?" He did. And as I said... he has a way of giving me songs when I need them. My marriage ended today, so that was pretty damn meaningful to hear: "Dreams like these must die"

I have no recollection of the rest of the show until RVM, which was awesome.

When Ed talked about waves and I saw they were sitting at the beginning of the first encore I thought: Shit, it's got to be Oceans! The first song I ever heard live. Fantastic.
    So was Yellow Moon, wow!

Just... what a beautiful show... what the hell are they going to play tomorrow?!

Apologies and kudos to my fellow 10clubbers in section F4. They were so incredibly nice and forgiving of my excessive enthusiasm. Perhaps the nicest crowd I have had around.

And this was my first show with my son, as if I needed another reason why it was so special.

Thank you PJ. You mean the world to me. You continue to carry me through. There's few other places I'd rather be than listening to your music live :)

    See you tomorrow :)

THIS is why we are so devoted and love this fucking band so much. They have a way of touching our lives on such a deep and personal level. I am so happy for you Edsonnascimiento! I look forward to enjoying a similar experience in about a week.
