Interesting, but is it that our "techno parents" abuse us or is it more like we give up too much of real-time/real/space life to tap away at our machines? I'm feeling a bit guilty as I write this. I think I'll go outside and see if the stars and moon are out yet.

I'm just as guilty as anyone, so it's hard for me to get on to my kids about it, but I'm right on the cusp of doing away with all of it. If I wasn't so tied in because of my business I would have dumped Facebook and Twitter two years ago. There are people on there that I like to stay in touch with, but I find myself checking the damn thing ALL THE TIME! :fp:
There are times when I literally miss the days of not having a cell phone...or at the very least not having a phone that can only make calls.

It seems bizarre to me that so many people walk around glued to their devices. Human are becoming more and more detached and estranged from the natural world. I think we are preparing ourselves to become cyborgs. Seriously, we are not that far off. When this happens, real humans will become outlaws.

It's true, and sad. I realized the other day I forgot my cell phone on my way to work. It was the best day I've had at work in a long time. I highly suggest people put your devices down and step outside or talk with the ones you love once in a while. It's a good feeling.

I've been there before.
