merch questions

These pictures people are posting of merch tents...are the tents outside the venues? Which leads to a few more merch questions:

About what time do the posters sell out?

And are the specific show shirts/stickers hot items?

I'm going to Charlottesville and have no idea what time to head down to the arena. I have ticketmaster seats, so I don't need to wait in any ticket lines.

Thanks!

When I went to Worcester 1, the merch tents were outside. I was there about 4:00, and there was still plenty of posters and show specific stuff available. Hope this helps.

Plenty of posters/stickers. If you are GA and want in the front, bank on the earlier side. If u are reserved, I would give yourself about an hour to pick up tix/merch
  • Its surprising because the night of the show tour posters are selling on ebay for $70+.. there seem to be plenty of posters at the venues.

Worcester night 2 you had your choice of posters..they had plenty left over from night 1.

There was supposed to be a 2 poster limit but I saw (3) different people carrying about 10 posters each.

The theme of the night seemed to be: buy 2 posters for $70 total and sell them for $140+ total on ebay the same night.

Based on all the merch topics these days it seems like this is becoming the norm rather than the exception. Let's all just go ahead and use PJ to help generate income for ourselves. :nono: Very sad and disappointing from my perspective. I wish people would just go to the concerts and enjoy themselves instead of stressing over whether or not they get the opportunity to buy a t-shirt, poster, or a wristband. Or getting there early to buy items to just "flip". There is no way of stopping it so to each their own....

  • Posters and shirts were gone at Philly 2 by 5/6 pm.

Posters were gone last night at 3:30 outside at Baltimore, shirts were gone outside by 6:30, but there was a couple of vendors inside who had some.

It really depends. I've gone to five shows this tour, and I would get to the arena around 2:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. or so. Last night was the first time they sold out of the poster outside, and they sold out crazy quick inside (within the first 20 minutes of the doors opening). This may be because everyone seemed to really dig that specific poster, though.

The stickers also sold out at the shows I went to ... typically they were gone by the end of the night, so get them before the show starts, if you can. But, again, this may be show-specific -- a less popular show-specific sticker may not go so quick.

As for show-specific shirt, I'm not sure; I haven't been buying those. I'd be surprised if they sold out super quick, though ... they always seemed to have those available even after I knew the stickers and posters sold out. But certain sizes may be limited.

    Hope that helps.

You can show up super early and wait on line outside for the merch tent (usually take about an hour but you are pretty much guarrenteed to get what you want). Better idea is probably to show up at around 6 and get in line for the doors to open. There will almost always be a merch booth right by the main entrance, but I always walk around and you could usually find a less crowded merch booth -- in Bmore I got poster, Bmore shirt and stickers by going to the merch booth in the back. Although, Bmore was kind of crazy because the merch seemed to sell out really fast (particularly, the poster, which is pretty awesome). In Philly, I was able to get poster, stickers night 1 at around 7:15 (they were out of shirts). Hope this helps -- and good luck. Bmore was my last PJ show this tour, but I am hoping to live vicariously through other Ten Club members fo the rest of the tour!

I agree with this approach, at least based on Brooklyn. I think there were plenty of posters there but the show-specific t-shirts went very fast. The tent outside opened up around 4 and i heard there were lines forming around 230 or so and the Brooklyn shirts were gone by 430 or so. You have a better shot to get what you want if you get in right when the doors open and head to the table inside. Doors opened at 630. We got in the first night by 645 and all Brooklyn shirts were gone.

  • They had a cart thing outside in Philly. First day I went by and they were sold out of posters by 6. Next day I got in line around 1:30 and it took about a half hour.
