Three generations, three women
Have build up walls
Walls to hide behind
Invincible, for pain or suffering
Playing strong and independent
But inside always hurt and alone
Never worthy of living
Always on their guard
Always in hiding
Damaged goods
Each one in their own way
All had the strength to survive
But so far none had the strength to live
To scared to show our true feelings
Always in hiding behind that “strong” mask
Two of you have pasted by now
I’m the only one left
Still in hiding
So alone
Raising two boys
The youngest also in hiding
Always looking over his shoulder
How to act
What are their expectations?
What do they wanna see?
How do they want me to act?
It hurt so much
I want you to be free
To be yourself
I want you to live
Live life to the max
But how could you?
With a bad example like mine?
Did my mom or grandma feel the same way?
Looking while their kids messed up their lives?
Did they also feel so helpless ?
As I do feel right now?
The only one who can break this chain is me
The only thing is…
I don’t know how…
"The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed".- Carl Jung.
"Art does not reproduce what we see; rather, it makes us see."- Paul Klee
