In Worcester and Buffalo, there was one "official" GA line.... However, as pointed out (by the one they call Hoosiers), YOU CAN ENTER IN ANY GATE YOU WANT.
This was true for Worcester despite repeated attempts by the people who worked there to tell you to enter through "door16."
In the end, your ticket guarantees you entry though any gate, and if Brooklyn is setup like either Buffalo or Worcester (where you enter into the 100 sections for bathroom, concessions, etc.), it will work here too - enter any gate you want.
For example, I arrived early in Worcester, and my sister and I were #61 and #62 on the list, but by not getting in the GA line and entering instead through the main entrance at ~6:07pm, she and I stood on the railing together.
I will add here that repeated attempts were made by EVERYONE who worked at the DCU center (Worcester) to enter through a specific gate (the "GA gate"). However, this was their attempt (for whatever reason) to shuttle floor tickets GA thought that door, but any entrance at any gate works for a valid ticket. If you are not willing to line up at 4am (and/or subject someone you are taking to such things), line up at the main entrance at 5:30pm and be the first person through that gate.
In Worcester, for night 1, I got in line after six, and was on the rail by Mike. There was at least one other space there at that point, and nobody was crowded on top of each other.
For night 2, I got in line a little after five, and ended up exactly where I was the night before, but my buddy was on the rail and I was at his shoulder.
Two of my friends showed up maybe 15 minutes later and were one back from the rail on my left. And yet another friend showed up maybe 30 minutes later and he ended up third row by Mike.
It was more crowded for sure on Night 2, but other than the asshat to my left with his bored-looking female companion, it was a great group of folks to spend an evening with.

I got in line around 11:30am both days and got 2-3rd row dead center in the Pit.
It makes for a HELL of a long day and your legs will probably be hurting by show time!
it's more of an honor system. we met plenty of people around us and we took turns going to eat and pick up our tickets at the 10c window, etc.
everyone we met was really friendly
