Why are they not playing Getaway live?

    I imagine it would wreck Ed's vocals for the rest of the show if they played it live. They tune everything down half a step (at least) when they play it live, and maybe the song just doesn't sound right when they tune it down? Could be several reasons. Ed has seemed to be feeling under the weather for the past few shows so maybe they're just waiting for him to feel better before they give Getaway a whirl.

    pendulum has opened 3 of the first 4 shows ... no more intro music ... i miss metamorphosis

    Oh okay. I don't know where I even got that....that it was just being used as entrance music. Haven't been checking the setlists too closely. Want to go into Saturday's Brooklyn show not knowing what to expect.

    I think they're saving it for Brooklyn. I could be wrong, but I see Brooklyn getting two great shows with some great songs, Getaway will make its way in there.....

    I think they are saving it for Seattle. The last show of the Fall Tour. :P

    It does not surprise me at all that they haven't blown through every song in a matter of 4 shows.

    History repeats when it comes to new song debuts...

    In 2006, Big Wave wasn't played until 30 or so shows into the tour...

    In 2009, Gonna See My Friend wasn't played until 10 or 11 shows into the tour...

    If you go back further you can take a look at others... songs like Help Help weren't played on the 03 tour til 6 or so shows in....

    Going back further 16 shows in 2000 until Sleight of Hand showed up...

    I can go back further... let's take a look at how long it took them to play No Way the handful of times it showed up on the 98 tour... It's well over 40.

    That they have not played EVERY song from Lightning Bolt yet isn't mind-blowing... it just kind of sucks that Getaway is the song they haven't played yet. :P
