Did Pearl Jam know about the fireworks during evenflow?

it was cool to see but it should have been during the last song.

    it was kinda of odd. the fireworks finale wasnt in sync with the song. I guess I dont care either :)

    i think the fireworks were part of the Bears family night at soldier field which ran from like 7pm til 9
    not 100% sure but thats my guess

    hey luvs I think you're right. and im watching the lolla webcast now and eddie heard the fireworks and mentioned it. but it wasnt for the show.

    It definitely was for Family Night with the Bears at Soldier Field. I am sure somebody with the Lollapalooza organizers knew about it because Soldier Field is own by the Chicago Parks Dept, which also oversees Grant Park. I don't know if EV knew about it though.

    Sorry you feel that way. We did the best we could. You still saw 3/4 of his solo from a couple of angles.

    they knew about them after they saw them but they weren't meant for lolla..so ed changed up the setlist and played world wide suicide..i think it was.

    considering while eddie was talking after Even flow he said "are there fireworks going off right now??" i dont think they knew about it
    Any new realizations would have to wait until he had more time. More time.

    Sounds like you may be someone who knows something about the "censorship" of Ed when the audio cut out during the Daughter tag.

    The paper in the morning said that the fireworks were from the Bears thing, and plus Eddie seemed pretty surprised by it.

    you've got to admit it was cool to see those fireworks overhead while listening to PJ :)
    my daughter , whose first show this was, asked me if there were fireworks at every pearl jam concert
    i smiled and told her, YES, just not always the kind you can see :)

    I do know something, but the final leg was not my department.
    Everything was solid going out of the park.

    BTW - half or 3/4 of the solo? That's some fine hairs there. Need we quibble?
    The idea of showing the fireworks was to give the folks at home a view of something unplanned and special that was happening during the show.
    If it hadn't been shown, and Ed had said something about it I'm sure there would be complaints about not showing it to the web cast audience.
    If that's your only criticism then it was a job well done, no?
