Arcade Fire or a double dose of PJ, Ack...

It figures that Arcade Fire would do two "secret shows" the same day as PJ's Brooklyn dates... as I already had two days lined up in the PJ GA pit for Brooklyn. But I was intrigued by doing a small, intimate Arcade Fire show, so I rolled the dice on their presale this morning, and now I have a PJ ticket AND an Arcade Fire ticket for Saturday.

Ugh... Arcade Fire is a print-at-home, so I can still roll it, if I want to... Ugh...

And, before anyone asks, I am doing a GA flip with another 10c person, but I am the one with the Friday pair, which means if I do decide to go to Arcade Fire, he will be the one with the extra GA ticket, not me. ;-)

I absolutely love Arcade Fire, and the show will be soooo small and intimate, but I don't miss PJ if I don't have to, especially with GA.

The main issue is that they are very tight with Bowie, and he sang backup on the new album, and lives in NYC, so if he's going to pop in and sing with them, it's more likely he'd do the weird, cool club date than their big Barclays date next year... I'll have to give this serious thought. It's good to be plagued with such delicious options, though.

do you think there is any way to do both? what time has PJ been going on? i have the same ticket situation as you (tho my pit tix are friday, which is why i went for AF saturday)...i'm hoping to hear that AF goes on late friday night so i can see at least part of PJ saturday.

Did you see last night's Worcester set?
Even if Brooklyn is 75% as good as last night, won't it still be better than Arcade Fire? ;)

Damn man, nice dilemma to have.
I personally prefer the club shows to the arena shows, and Arcade Fire is as good live as it gets.
If it was PJ in any other city, I'd say take the chance to see AF in a small club, because you don't know if that chance will come around again, but you know for sure you'll be able to see PJ in an arena again. Probably in the next year or two.
However, PJ tends to pull out some big guns in NY, and you'd hate to miss a classic PJ show, especially from GA. Man, I don't know, I think if it were me PJ would win.

i'd do arcade fire in a second, catch one show from each band, and if you feel you need more of a PJ fix, try to go to Philly or Hartford.

I think I'm just going to go to Pearl Jam Friday, read the Arcade Fire reviews from that night when I get home, and see what is pulling me more... if it's like Montreal, and the "Reflektors" only do 9 songs, then Pearl Jam it is. That show costs $9, though. Our show was $40, so wouldn't that mean 40 songs?!

But if I do Pearl Jam, and Bowie turns up at AF, that will sting.

The upside is that my other 10c'er will have zero problem moving the PJ GA if I don't go, and I'll have no problem flipping my AF if I do, so ticket-wise, it is totally solid.

The "Reflektors" ticket is for 8p, and no opener that we're aware of... and PJ starts around 8:15p with no opener. So, highly unlikely... unless the Reflektors is more of a happening, and the band shows up crazylate.

I don't know, though, even if there was a gap... it's almost harder to leave a Pearl Jam show than miss it, no?!
